The renown tango instructors Néstor and Mónica Castillo-Ponche from Buenos Aires, who brought the genuine argentine tango salón in Belfast in 2004, have won the 7° Campeonato De Tango De La Ciudad De Buenos Aires at the category "Tango Senior", that took place in the capital city of Argentina from April 30th to May 30th 2009. According to the rules of the tango championships organised by the city council of Buenos Aires, they are entitled to participate at the final rounds of the infamous now 7° Mundial de Baile 2009 that will take place in Buenos Aires from August 14th to August 30th 2009. This event is the highest international championship of tango salón and tango escenario (show tango) attracting hundreds of the best tango dancers from the whole world.

Néstor and Mónica interpreting "Café Domínguez" by the orchestra of Angel Vargas, singing Angel D'Agostino, at the prestigious milonga "Salón Canning" in Buenos Aires on June 2nd 2009. This performance took place at the famous "Night of the Champions" that the organizers of Salón Canning run every year after a major tango event such as the Metropolitan and the World Championship of tango. In this case the Night of the Champions hosted demonstrations by the champions of the Metropolitan Championship of Tango, in each category. Enjoy them:
